On August 15th, Elsa started second grade! She is in Room 20 with Amy Kageyama, or Coach K as the kids call her. Elsa bikes to school every day! She is becoming quite the biker, biking back and forth to school, swim lessons, even biking 6 miles one day.
The 5th day of school the kids got to experience the Eclipse. All the kids at Addison got glasses and went outside to view it.
One thing Elsa enjoyed doing during the summer was camps. Her first camp was a Girl Scout camp, where she could take the bus every day.
The next camp was Galileo Camp was at Addison. I think the highlight for her was when she climbed onto the roof of Addison to rescue a kids project.
The other fun thing at Galileo was dressing up as a superhero - with a hat made of black pants.
The weekend before the school year started we went camping in Foothills park. This was a lot of fun for the kids, especially with all the lizards that were in camp.
Two weekends after school started, we headed down to Santa Cruz for rides and fun with Auntie Amanda for the last big summer weekend.
Liam has had a lot of fun at school this summer - he really likes makes things with these plastic logs and asking me to take pictures of them.
Elsa and her friends like playing with Liam and he is always a good sport.
Elsa continues to enjoy making things, like her raft for the pool.
She also had fun making a rope play toy.
Liam enjoyed it, but it was hard for him.
The transformed swing was more fun!
Summer may be over, but second grade looks to be a lot of fun!
