Hawaii 2019

The kids' school had Thursday and Friday off before President's day weekend so we took advantage of the time off to go to Hawaii. We stayed on Maui at the Grand Wailea in the south western part of the island. It was beautiful and fun. The first day we spent a lot of time in the pools.

There were slides, rope swings, endless rivers, and even a water elevator.  It was so nice to just relax and play in the water.  We were just across from Wailea Beach, so had a great time in the ocean.

It was fun to ride the waves with the kids, make sand sculptures, and enjoy the sunshine. We even saw turtles in the water.

Friday night, we got dressed up for the Grand Luau.

Liam loved the fire dancer!

On Sunday, we had a big adventure, heading out on a boat to snorkel at Molokini.  There were dolphins, whales and lots of fish.

We were so lucky to get to enjoy a wonderful adventure.

Snow!

For SuperBowl weekend, we headed up to the snow with our friends.  Since Elsa had just broken her arm, we did not go skiing, but we did have a wonderful time playing in the snow. We drove up just as the snow started and enjoyed about 2 feet of fresh powder for the kids to play in.  The snowball fights were fun.

And the kids had fun just hanging out in the cold.
Elsa tried to uncover the stairs.
And then we created our own mini sledding hill!
A grumpy snow angel.
It was a lot of fun.
And we ended up able to safely (with chains) make it home!
