Liam Turns 9

Liam was very excited for his 9th birthday.  Since he and his friends are all vaccinated, he wanted to have a pre-pandemic style party - at Rockin' Jump, a trampoline park. There was lots of running around, and jumping around, before pizza and cake.

He also had a birthday party at home with his family.   His cake had special candles that were like fireworks.

He had lots of presents to open.

We are so lucky to have you in our lives, Liam.

Liam-Mommy Legoland Adventure

Hooray for Legoland!  For his 9th birthday and after being fully vaccinated, I took Liam to Legoland for a special Mommy-Liam trip, and our first plane ride in almost 2 years!

Liam wore a new tie dye and a fancy mask on the flight.
He was then happy to take the top bunk once we got to the Legoland hotel.  The next morning we headed into the park to go on rides and check out cool legos animals.

Liam enjoyed climbing the rock wall and riding in cars before meeting lego Santa.

I had fun on the boat ride, but really a highlight was getting apple fries!

We had fun on the big roller coaster.
And also enjoyed all 3 4-D movies.
Before another boat ride to check out all the great lego creations.

After a day in the park, we headed to the pool for some water time before bed.

The next morning it was hotel breakfast before park time!

Liam loved making his racing boats and driving lego boats.

We took pictures with another lego Santa!

Before checking out the new attraction the 3 story couch ride.

Liam joined a dance party then we got a high score on the Ninjago ride.

We went through the Sea Life park before finishing all our shopping!
Liam lugged back the big bag of legos for the flight home!

A wonderful adventure with my wonderful boy.

Family Time & Sports

This year we enjoyed having the family together for a big Thanksgiving at my Mom's house. Before the meal, several of us threw with Elsa and Liam.  Their seasons had just ended, softball for Elsa and baseball for Liam.

The cousins (Amanda, Alex, Karna, Matt) recreated a picture from what we think was 1998.  It was fun to recreate.

This month we returned to Stanford, to watch women's volleyball in person and go to the Big Game which Cal won!  Liam and I got to go on the field with his boy scout troop.

The troop also had fun at a troop hike at the Baylands.

Elsa had 3 different swim meets in November.  She continues to swim and practice outside.

What a great month, in part because both kids were vaccinated and we both got our booster!
