For Spring Break, my family headed off to Savannah and Hilton Head to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday year. We started the trip in Savannah. We stayed at the River Street Inn, a historic building with river views.
It was great to walk around and explore the city, enjoy the amazing food and shopping, and even take a Trolly tour to see and learn more about the history of Savannah. I was impressed by all the beautiful squares. After two nights in Savannah, we headed to Hilton Head Island for some relaxing island time. Before we got there, we did stop by Target for food for our party of 8!
It was great to have a house and be able to just relax. We did Easter Week fun things like decorating eggs and making egg cupcakes.
We BBQed dinners and played games.
It was fun to rent bikes and be able to bike ON the beach. As well as play in the ocean. The Atlantic is just so different from the Pacific!
There was a lovely preserve, where we got to see beautiful flowers and an alligator.
Watching the sunsets and spending more time together was lovely in the evenings.
I don't know that the kids want to return to the humidity, but it was great to experience a different part of America.
