Addison Science Night

Each year, Elsa's school puts on a science night.  This year the focus was chemistry and the kids had a lot of fun doing different experiments while wearing their own safety glasses provided by the school.
Making purple chalk

Liam also loved the pizza break.
At home they love all kinds of science experiments, from making lava to playing with dry ice bubbles and mist.

Portland Adventure

Over Presidents' day weekend, we headed to Portland to visit my college friends Phoebe and Charlton. On Saturday we visited OMSI, which was a cool technology museum.
Arne is taller than the sign!

Running a current through people!

On Sunday, we went to an indoor play area then watched Natalie's aerial acrobatics class.
Before we headed out on Monday, it snowed.  The kids had a lot of fun with a snowball fight!
Elsa's shot hit the camera dead on.
It was so nice to spend time with friends.

Sunny February

We had a remarkably sunny and beautiful February. This allowed the kids a lot of good outdoor time. Liam and Elsa really enjoyed playing bubble games, with Liam's wand from Disneyland.

We had some great park play dates.

We even headed down for fun in the sun at the boardwalk and beach in Santa Cruz.

The big fun on the beach was watching the sand fall into the water.  Sometimes the kids would also fall.
Now we just need more rain! Maybe fairy police Elsa can make it rain.

Liam's Stitches Adventure

Elsa and Liam had a lot of fun at Addison Elementary Ice Skating night.  Elsa was very good at pushing Liam around.
After we got home, Liam decided to get some cereal out of the pantry, and a glass bottle of olive oil landed on his foot, cutting up his toes so badly he had to go to the emergency room for 7 stiches!
For Liam, the biggest worry was would he be able to go on his class fieldtrip to Cheesecake Factory.  He was not sure he would be able to walk the 2 blocks. We were able to find an old stroller for him and he was able to make it to the fun fieldtrip.  He did wear mismatched shoes, to give extra space for the bandages on his toes.
12 days later, it was off to the doctor to get the stitches out.
Liam is now all healed and he and Elsa are back to their wacky adventures, like dancing on the top of big containers.
