Elsa exploding in Awesomeness

April has been a wonderful month to watch Elsa enjoy life.
Monkey bars are her joy.  She has created a new trick, called the spin-up.  I love watching her spin-up. She really is like a monkey, trying tricks on the structures, and in the trees.

In April she was the greeter for her first grade class.

She is really enjoying school projects, like the paper airplane project.  She took it a step further and made an airport.

She also really enjoys creating things with legos and combining her lego sets into super-sets - like her super castle.

This month she was also very brave at the dentist, getting her first filling.

I enjoy watching her continue to love softball.  One thing she likes to do is wear her uniform backwards.  It is her style.

I feel blessed to have such a fun girl.

Easter 2017

It was another wonderful Easter weekend. On Saturday, we attended the Menlo Park Egg hunt.  The kids had fun with all the activities.
That afternoon Aunt Jan joined us for lunch in the park.  The kids had a lot of fun with her gifts.

On Saturday morning, the kids enjoyed their Easter baskets.

We headed to Millbrae for fun with the family.  The kids enjoyed taking pictures of brunch (photo below by Liam).

We had fun with an egg hunt.
Overall, it was a great day!

March Adventures: Softball & China

March was a very exciting and very busy month.  Elsa started playing softball.  She has practice once a week at her school, and on March 15th she had her first game!
It was so exciting for me to see her pictures.  I couldn't be there because I was in Shanghai for two weeks for work.  Over my weekend, while Elsa was batting away, I flew to Xi'an and visited the Terra Cotta Warriors, otherwise known as the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum.
My history tour of China continued, as I also visted the Hua Qing Place and the Li Mountain Tao Temple.
Back in Shanghai, I took myself on walking tours in the rain, exploring the neighborhoods and the Bund.
It was great to get home, and just in time for Arne's birthday.  Elsa did a wonderful job decorating a  cake for him and we enjoyed a very happy birthday.
