Fall Sports Fun

This fall we signed up the kids for weekend sports: Elsa for softball and Liam for soccer. Elsa is playing on a team with her fellow Addison school classmates including her teacher's daughter and the daughter of the school principal.
Liam was very excited for his first real soccer team with a uniform.  It has been great watching him develop under the excellent coaching into a more confident and assertive soccer player.
The other fun thing to watch is Liam improve his monkey bar skills.  We now have two monkey bar lovers.

Princeton in the Sierras 2018

This was our fourth annual trip to Fallen Leaf Lake near Tahoe for a long weekend in the mountains with the Princeton alumni club.  I was excited because this year the Friday of the trip was my birthday.  We arrived Thursday night and started Friday going out on stand up paddleboards.

This was great fun, until Elsa and Liam both tried to get on at the same time with me.  The paddle-board flipped over and we got very wet. The water was not as cold as last year.
The kids enjoyed the lake - fishing for crawfish, climbing walls, group activities, and jumping on the docks.
I had a wonderful birthday and start to the weekend with my family!
While the family spent the rest of the weekend in Tahoe, I flew down to LA to be in my friend Mel's wedding!
It was a wonderful wedding day.
