Daisy Camping Adventure

Last weekend I took Elsa's Girl Scout Daisy Troop Camping!  We had a wonderful adventure up at Sanborn ParkWe gathered at Addison Elementary School and then headed off to the park.

Once there, the girls played while we got everything organized for the hike up a really hard hill.  We made it on one trip and then the girls helped us put up tents.  Each girl got a picture with the tent she helped with.
We had a giant 7 person tent, and all the girls stayed together in that tent.
When they took breaks from helping out, they build a fairy house.
Then we did box oven cooking - lighting the coals, making the box, mixing the cake, to having a yummy cake to eat.  Such fun!

The dinner of tacos was also a success.  Then everyone cleaned up there food, the four bucket Girl Scout Way and we hung our dunk bags up to dry.
Then there was time for a s'mores, before we had a group circle and said goodbye to our day campers.
The girls that stayed got in their jammies and got settled in the big tent.  They talked and played and generally had fun.  I think they slept a little.

In the morning, we had cereal, packed up, and walked down the big hill, to our cars and a drive back to Palo Alto.
