Double Digits: Liam is 10!

On December 21st, the shortest day of the year, we celebrated Liam turning 10!  He is officially in double digits.  It was a school day, and he got to celebrate in the classroom with a fun sign. Then, after school, we headed to LaserMaxx for a Laser Tag birthday party.
We entered the pre-room and then Liam got his laser tag vest.
It was hard work shooting lasers at all the other kids. Elsa was the strongest, winning both rounds.
After our laser tag, we headed into the party room for pizza and cake!

It was a very yummy cake.  It was also nice that Liam's cousin Sonja was able to come.

Then it was home for presents.  He loved his rock tumbler from grandma.
Liam had a great birthday and we are excited to have a 10-year-old in the house!

Disney 2022

On November 10th we flew to Southern California for a pandemic-delayed trip to Disneyland We checked into the Grand Californian and settled in quickly for the night since we were going to be up early for Disneyland the next day.

We headed out early and encountered our first line - the security line to enter Downtown Disney.  It went quickly and then we headed to the park entrance. It was great to get in early and use our hotel pass to go on rides immediately. Our first stop was Space Mountain.

Then we headed over to Star Tours before going on the Matterhorn.
On the way to It's a Small World, we stopped by and said hi to Mickey! It was the first day of the holiday-decorations park, so we got to experience everything decorated for Christmas.

It was fun to ride a canoe around the island before taking the skiff to the island in search of gold.

We had fun on splash mountain. Then took the train ride around before experiencing the new Star Wars ride, the Rise of the Resistance.

Now it was time for a break. We headed back to the hotel room and, on the way, got some late lunch.

After our break, it was time for Indiana Jones Adventure! Liam loved it so much that he got the jacket. We then went on several other rides, including Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted House. Seeing the park lit up at night and a lit-up holiday parade was fun.

We headed back to the hotel after a long day.

The following day we started with the Incredi-coaster. It was too much for Arne.

We rode the Grizzly Peak raft ride four times.

The Cars ride we rode twice

5 years ago the kids were smaller

California Adventure park has a water light show at night.

The final day we went on the Grizzly Peak raft ride over and over again while there was no line.

There was a new spider-man themed ride.

Little Mermaid ride was gentle enough for Arne

Liam and Karna enjoyed the drop ride in Guardian's of the Galaxy area.

It was a lot of fun to experience Disney. The kids did love the churros.

Orange & Black October Fun

We started off the month with a great weekend up at Princeton Sierra Camp at Fallen Leaf Lake.  It was great to see friends, swim in the lake, boat, climb and just have a weekend away.

We made it up to Webb Ranch for some pumpkins, and Liam enjoyed carving his up.
We ended the month with a great Halloween with my kids dressed up as a tree and a hotdog.

It was a lot of fun to go to Addison and get to see the Halloween Parade and Liam's class all dressed up.

Elsa had a lot of fun making her tree.

I enjoyed taking Liam out to a party in costume.  I didn't dress up but used some of our wigs and even  had my team pick their favorite for me to wear into the office.

I loved seeing the kids out with friends, enjoying trick or treating in the neighborhood.
And they came home with a lot of candy!
