Disneyland 2017!

For Liam's 5th Birthday, my mom took our family to Disneyland.  This was our first winter holiday at Disney and it was a lot of fun!  We flew down to the Santa Ana airport and then got a ride to the Disney Paradise Pier Hotel.
The first thing we did was play in the pool and on the waterside!  It was great having a pool and a waterslide you could go on as many times as you wanted, because there was no line!
The next morning, we headed into the park and right to the Cars ride!  It was a lot of fun.
Then it was time for Goofy's sky school.  The kids loved it, Arne, not as much.
Arne took pictures as the rest of us got very wet on Grizzly Peak.
Then we explored a little and met Goofy Santa!
After a fun morning in the park, it was back to the pool!
After pool time we took the monorail into Disneyland - there were big crowds and a parade!
We walked back over to California Adventure, for some rides and then later in the night the watershow,
Day two in the park started with Space Mountain and then the Matterhorn!
Before we saw the Holiday Small World.
After some spinning teacups, we went over to Big Thunder Mountain.
What fun!  We saw the pirates and the haunted house, then got soaked on Splash Mountain.
We had another afternoon break before heading into the park for another evening of fun and fireworks.
Our last morning, we went back to Cars, but it was closed!  So we tried out a few other rides - Toy Story was a lot of fun.
Then we went back over to Dinseyland for a ride on an old fire truck that Walt used to drive.
We got wet again on Splash Mountain, before heading over to the island for some exploring.
Then it was back to the Cars ride, for our last ride of the trip.

 A truly magical adventure.

Christmas 2017

We had a wonderful Christmas Holiday.  We started out in Berkeley, with all of Arne's family.  Both his brothers were in town and all the cousins got to hang out together.  Christmas Eve the kids all went to the UCC Pageant, dressing up as angels and animals!
Back at the Hill house, everyone had dinner then headed off to bed.  The kids were very excited for morning. In the morning, Liam was very happy that Santa brought what he wanted - the Lego Hospital!
He really enjoyed showing off his present.
It was quite fun seeing all the Stokstads.

We then headed to Millbrae for a second Christmas morning, and more presents at Kristin's house.
Then it was back to the east bay and Oakland for a fun party at my cousin's house.
We spend the night again in Berkeley and there was more cousin time at the park and a train ride, before heading home.
